Abraham Weinberg
Notes
Abraham Weinberg, Jacob's brother, definitely moved to Berlin. He is in Die Juedenbuergerbuecher. The entry also mentions that Abraham's father, my gggg-grandfather Israel Samuel Weinberg, died in Elbing.
Abraham started a cotton business in 1838 with Max Baschwitz. I am also connected to the Baswitz family, but through marriage! In the Berlin address books it appears that Abraham was the owner of a company that made surgical instruments (1842) and there is also some involvement with a ship building company. Several other Weinbergs appear, clearly from the same family. You can probably understand it all better than I can!
